Fig Tape

After releasing a strong debut EP, Second Thoughts, Oslo-based artist Fig Tape has already gained fans in Norway's blooming underground house and indie scene as a fast rising newcomer.

Finding inspiration in the Berlin electronic music scene after living there for three years, blending it with his love for indie-pop and northern melodic landscapes. His latest releases feature collaborations with Norwegian artist Lokoy on the track “Ladybug” and Swedish artist LonelyTwin on the track “Secrets”.  

Both singles gained attention from Norway's biggest radio channel P3. His body of work showcases Fig Tape as a mesmerizing left-of-center must watch artist and producer on and off the stageInfluenced by multiple styles and genres, Fig Tape dives into a world of melodies combined with analog synth sounds and prominent drum grooves. Often bringing forward the questions an individual can raise during their lifetime, everything from existentialism, relationships, time and culture in his lyrics.

Combining all this together is the result of him doing every step by himself. Producing, writing, mixing, mastering and performing by himself.
